The Research Institute for Applied Knowledge Processing (FAW/n) is a non-profit foundation established in 2004 as the successor organization to the FAW. It is headed by Prof. Dr. Dr. Dr. h.c. Franz Josef Radermacher.
The main topics are futurology and research on globalization processes in the context of sustainable development (climate and energy issues, economy and development, ecology and sustainability) as well as their shaping by business, politics, public institutions and society, as well as information and communication technologies.
Our hallmarks are a broad, interdisciplinary approach, the use of mathematical analytical tools, and the application and transformation of the knowledge gained into practical action in a global perspective.
